Yoga while you wait! For Parents!

 

Pip Rainey – Qualified Yoga instructor will be offering casual based yoga classes for parents to attend while their children attend dance. All payments are payable by attendance directly to Pip. No Bookings Required.

 

Yoga will be held on:

Wednesday Yoga 4-4.45pm and 5.30-6.15pm on the Grass beside the  Caves Beach Uniting Church

Yoga combines movement with breath to balance and rejuvenate the body and mind.  This class has been created to allow parents to move, breathe and relax while their children enjoy dancing. It is suitable for those with little or no experience to more experienced practitioners. Younger siblings and bubs are welcome.

Equipment: Yoga mat and towel (this will be used as a prop to sit on, under your knees etc. not because we are going to sweat)

Cost: $8 cash paid each week to Pip.  No need to book in.

 

Thursday Yoga Flow & Slow 6-7pm at Swansea Centre meet in foyer

This class combines 30 minutes of yoga flow followed by 30 minutes of yoga slow. Come for one session or both. Yoga will leave your body feeling stretched, your mind open and spirit lifted. Suitable for those with little or no experience to more experience practitioners including dance students.

Yoga Flow 6-6.30pm

Flowing sequences including standing poses and sun salutations linked with your breath.

 

Yoga Slow 6.30-7pm

Slower movement based on the floor with kneeling, seated and lying poses.  There is a particular focus on breath and relaxation.

 

Equipment: Yoga mat and towel (this will be used as a prop to sit on, under your knees etc. not because we are going to sweat)

Cost: $5 for 30 mins, $10 for 1 hour cash paid each week to Pip.  No need to book in.

 

 

Pip studied yoga in the tradition of Krishnamacharya, who is an Indian Yoga Teacher, often referred to as “The Father of Modern Yoga” and is regarded as one of the most influential Yoga Teachers of the 20th Century. She has a Diploma of Yoga Teacher Training in classical Hatha Yoga and is passionate about all aspects of yoga including asana (poses), pranayama (breathing techniques), yoga nidra (relaxation), meditation, yoga sutras and philosophy. Pip believes yoga is suitable for anybody, any age.  She has four girls who share her love of yoga.
